For the past two years, Wiima has been part of a research project called “DigiPro”. It is a joint project of four SMEs and the of Universities of Turku and Lappeenranta.
The general research themes for the project were:
1.Collective Identification of Opportunities
2.The changing needs created by the digitalization: work tasks, systems, processes
3.Business models in complex networks
4.Business models that are internationally scalable and support long-lasting customer relationships
5.Abilities to implement and commercialize solutions
Increasing productivity and internationalization of Finnish SMEs are the two cornerstones in the development of the Finnish national economy. Harnessing digitality to serve these two goals was at the heart of this joint project.
The project addressed the challenges and requirements that digital project management solutions pose for the business model. It also helped the participating companies to commercialize digital solutions and to strengthen their ability to create scalable business models.
With the support of this project group, Wiima created a new digitalized platform for overall logistics and supply chain control. The platform is currently tested by a narrow group of users to guarantee a smooth performance. It will be released to masses in a very near future.
Projects final seminar will be held 30.11.2018, 9:30-12:15 at Hotel Palace in Helsinki. There, Our project manager Jarno Kuronen will give a short presentation about achieving greater transparency through digitalization
