THE STARTING POINT
ALMACO was handling all freight management tasks internally. Large amount of shipments, simultaneous projects, fluctuating workload and challenging project locations were demanding a lot of focus and time from ALMACO’s own organization. The goal was to achieve logistics resourcing in the most competitive, professional and flexible way possible.
THE SOLUTION
Cooperation with ALMACO’s office located in Turku, Finland started in 2010. Since then, Wiima has handled all air/sea/land freights (import/export/cross trade) for this ALMACO Group location. In addition to freight assignments, Wiima has provided a wide range of logistics services to ALMACO including providing in-house logistics coordinators from Wiima to optimize the company’s project shipments. Wiima’s in-house resources vary according to ALMACO’s needs.
