THE STARTING POINT
Lumene was handling all freight management tasks by themselves. All freights were given to very limited pool of logistics service providers (LSP’s) and internal organization spent a lot of working hours for managing the freights.
THE SOLUTION
Cooperation with Lumene has started in 2014. Wiima has provided savings in Lumene’s Inbound and Outbound freight pricing with active and comprehensive tendering. Transportations include regular tradelanes to US and within Europe. Lumene has gained measurable savings in own resources by giving all freight management tasks to Wiima Logistics including tendering, follow up, reporting, consolidated invoicing, optimizing, claim handling and communicating with Vendors/Customers regarding collection and delivery details. All freight assignments are being handled with open book method (complete transparency).

ALMACO
Cooperation with ALMACO’s office located in Turku, Finland started in 2010. Since then, Wiima has handled all air/sea/land freights (import/export/cross trade) for this ALMACO Group location.
GPV
Wiima has primarily consulted GPV with putting out tenders for couriers as they send out electronic component shipments across the globe. Since there can be dozens of shipments per week, using the most cost-efficient courier quickly adds up to significant savings.
